Academic Excellence celebrated during Capricorn College’s Graduation Ceremony


Capricorn College for Technical Vocational Education and Training hosted the 2016 Graduation Ceremony on the 14th October 2016 at Bolivia Lodge, Polokwane. Where two hundred and sixty (260) graduants received their Diplomas and National Certificate Vocational (NCV) level four Certificates respectively.


Ululations and salutations were echoed by excited and proud parents, guardians as well as relatives hailing the graduates as conferment of awards took place. This was a joyous moment for graduates whom were enrolled for courses in any of the three faculties offered by the College namely, Business, Engineering as well as General & Utility Studies. The ceremony saw six graduates receive ‘Best Performers Merit Awards’ for obtaining a number of distinctions during their studies with College.


The College CEO & Principal, Mr Khorombi Madzhie, congratulated all the graduates expressing his gratitude for the good work done by the graduates and College’s dedicated staff members. Mr Madzhie said “We are excited about this ceremony and for the College this is more than any occasion as it represents the most visible evidence of our success and achievements”.


Ms Patricia Modiba, the College Council’s Deputy Chairperson talking to the graduates said “Your graduation is the culmination of many years of hard work and sacrifice, so cherish the moment and celebrate your achievements an continue to make us proud as you embark on a journey to next chapter of your lives”.


In attendance were parents, guardians, relatives of the graduants, Capricorn College for TVET’s management and staff members, Principals of sister colleges in the province, Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) Limpopo Regional office, Sector Education and Training Authority (SETAs) and other College stakeholders.


Mr Allen Riba, Deputy Principal academic services, praised the graduates and lauded 2016 Graduations organising Committee for the good word done. He also expressed gratitude for the support received from the College stakeholders including sponsors who made this event a success.
